Meet local artists, enjoy hands-on activities and performances at Cubberley’s open studios | New

The City of Palo Alto’s Cubberley Artist Studio Program invites visitors to come meet artists where they work and see their latest creations at an open studio event on Saturday, November 12, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. h.

The program currently hosts 21 artists in residence at the Cubberley Center, and they work in a range of media, including painting, printmaking, photography, sculpture, costume design, video and performance, according to the program website.

As well as meeting the artists and touring their workspaces, visitors can take part in arts and crafts activities and attend performances by the Melody Academy of Music, Dance Magic School – businesses also based at the Cubberley Center – which will offer music and dance workshops and activities.

Also in attendance will be The Factronauts, who will present the latest of their pop-up performances held around Palo Alto this fall as part of the city ArtLift Grant Program.

Bibliophiles in attendance for the event can also take advantage of the Friends of the Palo Alto Library hosting a Saturday book sale at Cubberley.
