New Craft Silk India Exhibition Ends Today

TO experience the amazing cotton, silk and hand weaving products made by master craftsmen from all over India on display at 35 stalls in different states of India, one must visit the New Cotton and Silk Exhibition Craft Silk India with sale going on at Chitnavis Centre, 56, Bazar Road, Civil Lines between 10:30am and 9:00pm. The exhibition will end on October 19, so the organizers called on people to enjoy the event.

Products on display at the exhibition include a wide variety of exclusive and attractive silk and cotton sarees, garments, suits, stoles, dupattas, kurtas, kurtis as well as fashion jewelry and artifacts for the interior decoration.

Regional and state specialties include a host of varieties like Bhagalpuri Tassar, Kosa and Khadi silk from Bihar, Lucknow Chikan, Jamdari and Banaras silk from Uttar Pradesh. Also, there are Chanderi and Maheshwari silk from MP, Patola, Bandhani and Kutch embroidery from Gujarat.

While Rajasthan features Bandhei, block printing and Sanganeri printing. Karnataka has Bangalore silk and printed crepe, says a press release posted here.

The state of Jammu and Kashmir showcases embroidered silk and Tabi. Additionally, there is Kanjivaram and Coimbatore cotton from Tamil Nadu, while West Bengal offers Balucheri, Kantha, Tangail, Jamdani and more.

Thus, the exhibition is about using traditional hand loom skills to create contemporary lifestyle products under one roof.
